2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR Revealed

I was browsing around Carbuzz today and came across these awesome shots of this beautiful piece of machinery-- a sexy Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.  I just had to share this, there is a description and more pictures below, but the pictures speak for themself.. "Porsche has just released the first photos of their brand-new 2012 911 GT3 RSR racecar.The 2012 model has been extensively modified and it has grown a bit from its predecessor, which won the Nurburgring 24-Hours race. The body has been widened by 48mm, the front axle widened by 30mm and the rear axle by a relatively large 310mm.The new 911 GT3 RSR racecar features new ducting and air-intake for the 4.0-liter horizontally-opposed engine with an output of 460hp.
It sends power to the rear wheels through a race-spec six-speed sequential transmission with paddle shifters on the rear of the steering wheel."Our customer teams can expect a technically mature, high-performance race car with which they will be highly competitive at international long-distance races... we are very pleased with the car's performance and driveability," said Porsche Motorsport chief Hartmut Kristen." The 2012 911 GT3 RSR is Porsche's top customer track car and prices at a hefty $689,000 (€498,000). The first units will be shipped in January.
